Non-Destructive Inspection
Air Force Reserve Staff Sgt. Valerie Sanchez, Air Reserve Technician and non-destructive inspection technician, lifts a tray containing an aircraft part out of a vat of dye at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark., on Aug. 6, 2020. NDI technicians use various methods to complete these inspections such as X-ray, florescent dye penetrate, oil analysis and ultrasonic scanning to examine and inspect numerous aircraft parts and components to ensure that they are in usable condition.
