Airdrop Competition
Tech. Sgt. William Mcleod, 327th Airlift Squadron loadmaster, accomplishes his pre-flight checklist before a load drop competition at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark. August 7, 2019. The competition, called the “turkey shoot,” is an annual event that pits C-130 Hercules crews against each other in a series of skill and timing based events. During the competition, each crew loads a Humvee, completes an assault landing and preforms a small cargo drop. They are scored for timing and accuracy for each of these events.
