Combat Airlift Competition
Tech. Sgt. William Mcleod, 327th Airlift Squadron loadmaster, conducts pre-flight checks before take-off as part of the Turkey Shoot competition August 7, 2019, at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark. The Turkey Shoot is a multi-event test which evaluates all aspects of combat airlift such as threat mitigation, container delivery system airdrops, assault landings and loading and offloading vehicles. The majority of our Reserve members must meet the same requirements of Active Duty personnel. This entails balancing a fulltime civilian job or college studies while maintaining their military readiness. (U.S. Air Force Reserve photo by Senior Airman Nathan Byrnes)
