C-130J sortie
Maj. Seth Lake, 327th Airlift Squadron pilot, and Maj. Maj. Matthew Heisel, 327th Airlift Squadron pilot, begin preparations for take-off during a training flight to further enhance readiness on August 3, 2019, at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark. The C-130 is capable of using unprepared runways for takeoff and landings and was originally designed as a troop, medevac, and cargo transport aircraft. The combat airlift and airdrop capabilities we provide for all services gives flexibility and agility to combatant commanders. The Reserves have one weekend a month, two weeks a year to fulfill training in order to prepare for real world missions and requirements. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Nathan Byrnes)
