Seawolf Park, as seen from the deck of the Robert C. Lanier, a Galveston-Port Bolivar ferry, April 22, 2018, just north of Galveston, Texas. The park, which is located on Pelican Island, is dedicated to the USS Seawolf (SS 197). The Sargo-class submarine was mistakenly sunk by U.S. Navy forces in 1944 during World War II, with 83 crewmembers and 17 Army personnel still on Eternal Patrol. (Courtesy photo by Jeff Walston)
