NAME: Staff Sgt. Tamara Hamilton

UNIT: 913th Maintenance Squadron

DUTY TITLE: Crew Chief

HOMETOWN: Sedona, Ariz.

COMMENTS: Hamilton has proven herself as a valuable member of the 913 AG. Always being the first to volunteer for additional duties regardless of task difficulty, Hamilton's attention to detail and lean forward attitude is a positive example to be emulated by others. Hamilton has saved the Air Force countless man hours and dollars with her continued research into product improvement. Hamilton has also restructured the hazardous materials program in the aircraft support section and while doing so discovered that incorrect aircraft grease was being used base wide. She researched and located the proper grease as well as submitted a technical order change to ensure compliance. Hamilton also volunteered to build an engine change trailer using items that were headed to the scrapyard, saving the Air Force $12,000 in acquisition cost. Through extensive searching of technical manuals SSgt Hamilton worked with equipment manufactures and located two missing items that were on a current Report of Survey and misidentified valued at $6,590.
