Military OneSource remains a wealth of information, resources, and support for military members and their families regardless of status. The services are provided at no cost and are designed to help servicemembers and their families remain mission ready.

Joanna Murray is the Arkansas Military OneSource consultant who understands the unique challenges military members face. She previously worked 10 years with the Marines as a deployment readiness coordinator and force readiness officer.

“Now, my primary objective is to provide education, training and support to leaders, staff and service families of all branches and components assigned to commands located in the state of Arkansas,” said Murray.

A wide range of services include help with taxes, financial planning, health and wellness coaching, nonmedical counseling, career consultations, education, and much more.

“We are here to provide expert council and support to all servicemembers and their families, regardless of status, and their DEERS enrolled dependents,” said Murray. “I encourage folks to learn more about our Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program, as well as, the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Digital Library.”

The education and career program offers access to a career coach, research for various career or educational paths, resume assistance, or scholarships. The state of Arkansas also has three Citizen Soldier for Life career readiness counselors available to perfect resumes and teach interviewing skills
